  Kalmykia, China Autonomous Area to Sign Cooperation Agreement

Russia's Kalmykia republic and China's Nei Monggol (Inner Mongolia) autonomous region will conclude an agreement ``on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation.'' Kalmykia President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and Chairman of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Yang Jing will sign the corresponding document on Thursday, the press service of the republic's president told Itar-Tass.

On Wednesday, a Chinese delegation comprising the leadership of the autonomy, directors of major enterprises and journalists, arrived in Elista. The visit is held within the framework of the Year of China in Russia.

The guests will visit an exhibition of animal breeding in the Yashkulsk district and taste national Kalmyk dishes.
