The following is an English

Hypocrisy of Chinese “Pro-Democracy” Activists in
Discussions of Human Rights

Human
rights encompass the rights of individuals as well as the
rights of collectives or nations to determine their own
fate. Genuine defenders of human rights must recognize and
defend both categories. In other words, those who pursue
only the rights of individuals but disregard the rights of
collectives or nations are hypocritical.
Overseas Chinese “pro-democracy” groups and individuals
arguably belong to the type of hypocritical “human rights”
mentioned above. Not a single word about national
self-determination is mentioned in a sincere manner in their
discussion of human rights. Almost all international human
rights conventions have an explicit clause on the right to
self-determination that all nationalities are entitled to.
Yet, Chinese “pro-democracy” activists have always
disregarded this fundamentally critical right.
Those who genuinely fight for
human rights must admit to and accept the fact that human
rights are above state authority. However, Chinese
“pro-democracy” activists either do not understand or will
never accept this most basic fact. They willfully make the
human rights of indigenous nationsa
sub-domain of state authority, fiercely opposing all
movements toward freedom and independence by the indigenous
peoples who suffer from China’s brutal colonization.
Those
who genuinely fight for human rights must not be satisfied
only with the opposition to inequality of social classes or
strata. They must also commit themselves equally to the
categorical rejection and uncompromising opposition to
foreign invasion, colonial occupation, and inequality among
nationalities. In this sense, Chinese “pro-democracy”
activists have done virtually nothing, disappointing
millions of indigenous peoples and losing their faith in
them.
From
the aforementioned arguments, we can easily and clearly
expose the fact that these so-called Chinese “pro-democracy”
activists are, for the most part, a group of Chinese
chauvinist who wear the mask of “democracy”; they do not
truly embrace or strive for true democracy. Chinese
hypocrites have never brought us anything good, and they
never will. We must never forget the bitter lesson learned
from the tragic history of Ulaanhuu [paramount Communist
leader of Southern Mongolia], who took the flowery rhetoric
and empty promises of the Chinese at face value. We must
learn from our mistakes. Those who blindly follow those
Chinese “pro-democracy” activists must pull back before it
is too late.
