Chinese oil giant PetroChina has started
building a 500 kilometer natural gas pipeline in the northern
areas of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the China Oil
Daily reported on October 9.
Construction of the 840 million yuan (US $ 100
million) pipeline, to run from PetroChina's Changqing gas
field to the regional Hohhot, would take one year to build,
the newspaper said.
