Taipei, April 19 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian said Wednesday
he is hopeful that Taiwan and Mongolia can engage in high-level
exchanges, with ministerial-level officials from the two
countries exchanging visits regularly.
Chen made the call while meeting with a group of Mongolian
prosecutors and other judicial personnel who are receiving
training in Taipei.
Under a successful cooperative program launched last year, Chen
said provincial-level officials from Mongolia attended training
classes in Taiwan.
"We hope similar cooperative programs will continue and further
expand," Chen said, adding that he hopes top leaders and
ministerial-level officials from the two countries can exchange
frequent visits to further boost bilateral cooperation in
various fields.
