Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia. |
Exactly a century ago, our forefathers relied on the power of all Mongols in restoring national freedom and independence. Mongols from fragmented parts were welcomed and gathered together. This is how our territorial integrity, brotherhood and family reunion were maintained to this day. As citizens of the Mongol nation, no matter whether you are from Khalkha, or Durbed or Kazak or Uriyanhai or Zagchin or Buriyat, we are all Mongolians. We are all Mongolian people. In addition to the Mongols who live inside the country of Mongolia, there are a great number of Mongols or Mongolian people living around the world.
As a person who has been entrusted to hold the national seal of the historical nation of Mongolia, today I would like to ask the support of all Mongols to heed my call: “let us Mongols unite together, let us gather together on our Mongol homeland”. As President of the Mongol nation, I would like to direct my appeal to every single Mongol person and every single Mongol heart. Our ancestors hoped to live in happiness on this land with all their brethren for generations.
An old saying goes “the more people the more auspicious” meaning that “numerous offspring are our greatest wealth”. Throughout history, we had periods of glory and prosperity as well as decline and downturn. However, today it is time for us to work together to develop and advance ourselves. We hold in our hands a great opportunity to determine our own fate. We have a loving heart toward our brothers and sisters and a vast territory that can be home to all of us. My Mongol brethren, come to your Mongolia to live, work and show what you can accomplish.
From the high throne of our nation, I am speaking not only to my fellow citizens, but to all Mongols, Mongolian nationals, and Mongolian descendants who love the Mongol nation and know the language, culture, tradition and custom. My concern is only for the well-being of the Mongol Nation.
A lot of work needs to be done for our fellow Mongols to lead a happy life on our Mongol territory. A number of issues need to be addressed. We must bring up the issues related to demography, gene pool and health. No one will tackle these issues if we do not do so. No one will resolve these pressing issues for us if the state of Mongolia does not resolve them.
It is no use to hope from afar that Mongolia prospers and a friendly and favorable environment forms for the people to live and work. I urge each Mongol to devote their hard work and spiritual efforts to the great undertaking of bringing prosperity to the Mongol heartland and handing down a great Mongol nation for generations to come.
